      Mrs. William [Laura] Emmers 138 E. Calumet St. Appleton

      Age 88, died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 1987, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born September 29, 1896, in the Town of Buchanan, where she lived until moving to Appleton in 1961. Mrs. Emmers was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary, Mission Laddies of Sacred Heart and St. Vincen DePaul Society.

      Survivors include four daughters and sons in-laws, Erma and Richard A. Joosten, Appleton; Irene and Albert Ruys, Alma and Henry Dictus, both of Kimberly; Rita and Martin Brock, Lakewood; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, William, July 2, 1966, and two infant daughters.

      The funeral will be Tuesday, June 2, 1987 at 9:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton with Father Wilbert N. Staudenmaier officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton from 5-9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. Tuesday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a prayer and scripture service at 7:30 Monday evening.
