Vanden Heuvel, Anna Marie
Anna Marie Vanden Heuvel, 86, Seymour, passed away with her family by her side on Monday evening, April 17, 2006 at Meadow Wood in Seymour. She was born May 23, 1919 in Seymour, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Anna (Ver Gowan) Hermus. On October 11, 1939 she was united in marriage to Willard Vanden Heuvel. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1995.
Anna was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour, where she was active in the Christian Mothers, served as an Eucharistic Minister, she was a 4-H leader, did home sewing, enjoyed playing cards and bowling. Anna loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved holding babies.
She is survived by her children: Arlene Linssen, Scottsdale, AZ; Ronald (Sharon) Vanden Heuvel, Oneida; Diann (Robert) Ciesielczyk, Seymour; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Cora Van Cuyk, Kaukauna; Antoinette Van Handel, Kimberly; Mary Vanden Heuvel, Green Bay; Theresa Linsmeyer, Seymour; Rose (Harold) Hendricks, Bonduel; her brothers, John (Tillie) Hermus, Seymour; Bill (Evelyn) Hermus, Kimberly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ed Klarner, Kimberly; Jean Hermus, De Pere; and Joe (Margaret) Vanden Heuvel, Pulaski.
She was preceded in death by three infant sons; two grandsons, Todd Ciesielczyk and Joel Vanden Heuvel; a son-in-law, Robert Linssen; also, four sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 915 Ivory St., Seymour from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with Father Robert Kabat officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the Meadow Wood staff and Heartland Hospice; also, to mom's sister, Theresa, Father Bob Kabat, and Deacon Orvell DeBruin for all their care and concern.
