son of Henry J. Vandehey and Helena "Lena" (Vanderzanden) Vandehey. He spent many years of his life living at home with his parents in Roy.
From 1983 to 1987, Floyd resided in Fairview, Oregon, at a state residential institution. In 1987, he moved to the Edwards Center and resided at their Florence Street home in Aloha, where he resided since.
Floyd loved his outings into the community, watching movies, feeding the birds and joking with others.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Patrick Vandehey, David Vandehey and Alvin Vandehey; and his three sisters, Agnes Hertel, Erma Meeuwsen and Gertrude VanDyke.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
