  APPLETON POST CRESCENT OBITUARY Tuesday November 9, 1993 Daniel Mathias Wallace Jr. 503 S. Washington St. Combined Locks age 77, died at 1:12 A.M. Tuesday, November 9, 1993 after a long illness. He was born June 23, 1916 in Darboy, son of the late Daniel and Lena ( Grode ) Wallace. He had worked at Lawrence University prior to his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church, Combined Locks. Survivors include his wife, Margaret ( Weyenberg ) Wallace; four daughters; Jean and Timothy Retzlaff, Kaukauna; Bonnie and Daniel Smudde, Hartland; Margaret Van Vreede, Little Chute; Lori and Bruce Mueller, Freedom; five sons; Richard and Nancy Wallace, Darboy; Daniel III and Carol Wallace, Kaukauna; Steven and Virginia Wallace, Kauakauna; Michael and Judy Wallace, Freedom; Jeffrey and Sema Wallace, Darboy; a brother, John and Josie Wallace, Darboy; two sisters; Isabell Stumpf, Darboy; Beatrice Buchinger, Kaukauna; a brother in-law; Henry Stumpf, Neenah; sisters in-law; Jerry Wallace and Stella Wallace; 26 grandchildren; Dawn Kent, Julie Kent, David Marquardt, Karen Richie, Todd, Chad, Travis and Ryan Smudde, Danielle, Scott and Stephanie Van Vreede, Shane, Troy, Brad, Brian, James, Daniel IV, Melessia, Destiny, Jason, Lance, Alexandra, and Michaela Wallace, Debbie Gerrits, Shiron and Mehmet Fitzhugh; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters; Helen (Wallace) Marquardt, Suzanne Wallace; a son, James Wallace; three sisters; Margaret Stumpf, Catherine Van Den Elzen, and Rosella Sprangers, two brothers; James Wallace and Clem Wallace; three brothers in-law; Joseph Stumpf, Michael Buchinger, and Matthew Sprangers. Funeral services will be held at 7 P.M. Thursday from St. Pauls Catholic, Combined Locks with the Rev. Robert Vandenberg officating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4 P.M. Thursday until the time of service. The family would like to thank the Hospice Program.
