Stebane, Lorraine Idabel (Micke) Lorraine Idabel (Micke) Stebane, 82, went home to be with the Lord she loved on Nov. 2, 2007. Her heart was joyful and happy but weak. She was born in Kaukauna on March 28, 1925, the second daughter of Peter Sr. and Josephine (DeWilde) Micke. She attended St. Mary's School in Kaukauna and graduated from eighth grade. Lorraine married Ervin Stebane on Sept. 4, 1943, and celebrated 64 years of marriage. Her greatest love was her family, her grandchildren and her great-grand babies, which she was so happy to be able to baby-sit and enjoy. She loved to cook and made certain everyone had a full stomach. Her coffee was extra special and she always made sure your cup was full. Some of her favorite times were getting together with her sisters for the Micke Mouse Club to play canasta. She enjoyed their annual hunting excursions to Montana and the Dakotas as well as traveling to Alma to visit family and friends. She was a leader in the Friendly Valley 4-H Club for over 30 years and enjoyed helping her family exhibit at the Calumet County Fair for 56 years where she received an Outstanding Senior Citizens Award with her husband in 2003. She also received an Outstanding 4-H Leadership Award. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction, where she was a member of the Dorcus Circle and a past Sunday School teacher of young children, Little Heralds and a Methodist Youth Fellowship Leader.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ervin; her two daughters, Kathleen Stebane and Deborah (boyfriend, Chris Wachel) Stebane and a daughter-in-law, Janis (Melcher) Stebane; one granddaughter, Shelby (Dale) Edinger and three grandsons, Dean, Brad (Peggy) and Todd (Darla); six great-grandchildren, Cami, Austin, Carter and Garnett Stebane along with Bryce and Chloe Edinger; three step great-grandchildren, Tim, Eric and Cody Kasten. She is further survived by her four sisters Martha Dercks, Evelyn (Benny) Peer, Rosie (Ossie) Johnson, Joanne VerKuilen and three brothers, Harold (Judy) Micke, Clarence (Joyce) Micke, Kenneth (Carol) Micke and sisters-in-law, Marie Micke, Betty Stebane, Marjorie Stebane and LeMeryl Kozlowski; two special god-daughters, Patricia Micke and Sharon (Stebane) Fischer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Eugene and Gary Stebane; her parents, Peter Sr. and Josephine Micke and in-laws, Albert Sr. and Hatti Stebane; one sister, Stephana Ziesemer; two brothers, Peter Micke, Jr. and Lawrence Micke; six brothers-in-law, George Dercks, Gordon Ziesemer and Donald VerKuilen, Albert Stebane, Jr., Elmer Stebane and Rueben Stebane; four sisters-in-law, Alice (Adolph) Becker, Lillian (Earl) Boettcher, Martha Stebane, Esther (Milton) Lambie; one niece, Barbara Stebane and six nephews, Jerome Stebane, Donald Stebane, Dennis Boettcher, Ricky Dercks, Michael Peer and Curtis Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction. The Rev. Becky Kindschi will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, and then again at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.

Our family would like to thank the staff and all of mom's special friends at Brewster Village, especially Cathy Knifke, for all of your care and concern for mom.
