      Age 80, died Friday, September 18, 1992 at home following a brief illiness. He was born July 15, 1912 in Appleton, the son of Roy and Agnes Van Ryzin. Mark was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

      He is survived by his wife, Dorothy G. Fennel to whom he had been married for 59 years; a daughter and son in-law; Sally and Jim Johnson, Appleton; a son and daughter in-law; Michael and Judy Van Ryzin, Green Bay; a daughter and son in-law; Kathleen and Angus Morrison of Venice, California; and a daughter and son in-law; Judy and Bob Schmidt, Appleton; a son and daughter in-law; Mark and Rita Van Ryzin, Buena Park, California; 14 grandchildren, 3 great granddaughters, other relatives and friends.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Susan; a sister, two brothers, and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Johnson.

      He was employed by Kurtz and Roots Company for 27 years and at J.I. Case, Winneconne, retiring in 1977.

      A mass and memorial service for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 20, 1992 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton. The family extends a special thanks to Appleton Community Hospice and the Visiting Nurses Association of Appleton. All donations can be made at the Appleton VNA in Marks name.
