    • WAUKESHA - Douglas E. Goerke of Waukesha died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at home at the age of 80. He was born in Waukesha on Aug. 29, 1919, the son of Ervin and Olive (nee Orton) Goerke. He was the co-owner of Goerke Brother's Painting and enjoye d his home and family. Douglas was in the National Guard and was a first sergeant with Company G, 127th Infantry, 32nd Division from October 1940 to 1945. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Geraldine, whom he married Oct. 7, 1950; his daughters, Linda (Ron) Sallmann of Dousman and Dawn (Mike) Traub of Helenville; his brother, Donald (Joan) Goerke of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Amy (Colin) McCarth y, Josh Sallmann, Nathan Omick, Eric Sallmann, Renee Omick and Michelle Traub; his great-grandchild, Meghan McCarthy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Armand and Calvin. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home-West on Moreland Boulevard. The Rev. William McBride will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Inter ment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials to the Rolland Nelson Crossroads Hospice are appreciated.
