    • Orby F. Boucher , 86, Green Bay, was welcomed to eternal life Friday, March 9, 2012. He was born July 24, 1925 in the Town of Preble to the late Joseph and Agnes (Lemmens) Boucher. He graduated from Catholic Central High in 1944 and was proud to have participated in boxing while in school. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and served until his honorable discharge in 1945. On January 12, 1946, he married Adele Marie VandenLangenberg at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Together they raised 6 children. She preceded him in death October 14, 1994.

Orby worked for the Green Bay Post Office for over 40 years. After retirement, he enjoyed golf, bowling, travelling and especially the card club. Adele's and Orby's home was always open to their children. They enjoyed entertaining family and friends. He was an avid bridge player at the Senior Center. In his later years, he enjoyed Friday night fish fries, which were always followed by dancing. Orby loved to polka and would attend many church picnics in the summer. He volunteered for the Red Cross blood drives, which he was very proud of. Orby was a member of St. Bernard Parish.

Orby will be sadly missed and is survived by his "Sweetheart", Rose Loritz; three sons, Thomas (Sandy), Timothy (Mary) and Kelly; two daughters, Barbara Rundle and Linda (Peter) Pagonis; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his brother, Gerald (Rita) and sister, Muriel Metzler. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Arnold (Carole) VandenLangenberg; sister-in-law, Jeannette (Robert) DuCharme and sister-in-law, Rita Boucher of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews.

Orby was preceded in death by his wife, Adele; a daughter, Sherry Boucher; a grandson, Alexander Rundle; one sister, Carol; two brothers, Donald and David; a brother-in-law, Leo Metzler and two sisters-in-law, Joann VandenLangenberg and Myrtle Lison.

A Celebration of Orby's Life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. There will be a Parish Wake Service and Sharing of Memories at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may also call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. David Pleier officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

If you must shed a tear, let it be over the good times we had. And if you must feel sorrow, let it be over the fact that you have not joined me in the quiet place of eternity.
