Notes - Leonard Ambrosius Dies at Lawrence Residence
De Pere - Leonard Ambrosius, 54, died suddenly this morning after a short illness at his home in the town of Lawrence.
A lifelong farmer, he was born Sept. 26, 1894 in W. De Pere. He married the former Minnie Denissen, who died in 1941. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Boniface Church.
Survivors include his father, Theodore; two sons, Vernon and Ray; six daughters, Mrs. Joseph Gerbers, Mrs. Bernard Treml, Mrs. Carleton Landwehr, Mrs. Anton Van Schyndle, Mrs. Lloyd Cleden, and Ethel; seven brothers, Adolph, Joseph, Albert, John, George, Louis, and William; three sisters, Mrs. John Minten, Mrs. Peter Siebers and Mrs. Carl Van Ess; and 12 grandchildren, all of W. De Pere.
The body will be at the Ryan Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited Saturday and Sunday night. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
