The marriage of Miss Theresa Verkuilen, daughter of Mrs. George Verkuilen, and Edward H. Vanden Heuel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vanden Heuvel, both of Little Chute, took place at 8 o'clock this morning at St. John church, Little Chute. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John J. Sprangers and the attending couple was Miss Minnie Verkuilen of Little Chute, sister of the bride, and Joseph Vanden Heuvel, Little Chute, nephew of the bridegroom. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the immediate relatives at the Verkuilen home. After a week's trip to the northern part of the state, Mr. and Mrs. Vanden Heuvel will reside on E. Main street, Little Chute.

Van Den Heuvel, Theresa
Theresa Van Den Heuvel, age 92, of Little Chute, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at her home. She was born, July 18, 1911, in Little Chute, daughter of George and Minnie (Van Elzen) Verkuilen. Theresa married Edward Van Den Heuvel, September 17, 1938, in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and he preceded her in death February 22, 2004 after celebrating 65 years of marriage. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the St. Elizabeth Society of the church. She was a faith-filled, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Theresa is survived by her sons: Dennis (Dyanne), Eau Claire; Leon (LuAnn) and Dan (Jane) Van Den Heuvel, both of Little Chute; daughters: Carol (Dale) McCalvy, Florida; Mary (Barry) De Leeuw, Kimberly; Irene (Larry) Huget, state of Oregon; and Diane (Jim) Guckenberg, Neenah; 15 grandchildren: Kaitie (Ryan) Kramer, Zachary Van Den Heuvel, Jennifer (Ralph) Shenefelt, Paul (Suzanne) and Sarah De Leeuw, Matt and Peter Huget, Ryan (Nicole), Jay (Bobbie Jo) and David (Jodi) Van Den Heuvel, Tim (Tiffany) and Tony Guckenberg and special friend Melanie Deeg, Kevin, Kurt and Alyssa Van Den Heuvel; four great-grandchildren: Rylee, Tressa and Gavin Van Den Heuvel, Nicholas Shenefelt; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Van Den Heuvel.
Theresa was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Minnie Verkuilen and Hattie (Paul) Kostka; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ted (Ann) (Clara) Van Den Heuvel, John (Gertrude) Van Den Heuvel, Simon Van Den Heuvel, Peter (Mag) Van Den Heuvel, Chris (Rose) Van Den Heuvel, Ella (Hank) VanderLoop, Hattie (Albert) Wynboom, Josephine (Norb) Hietpas.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
