Albers, Ellen Margaret Ellen Margaret Albers, 89, of 141 Porcupine Road, Tipler, Wis., formerly of De Pere, Wis., passed away in the presence of her children on Wednesday (Nov. 30) at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Ellen was born Oct. 21, 1916, in De Pere, Wis., the daughter of the late Henry and Bernadine (Manwaring) Hermas. She grew up and attended school in De Pere and on Sept. 31, 1936, she married Lawrence "Shorty" Albers. The couple continued to make their home in De Pere and Mr. Albers preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1994. Ellen had been employed in the housekeeping departments at the Ramada Inn of Green Bay, the Green Bay Airport, West De Pere schools and retired from Service Masters Co. In 2002, Ellen moved to Tipler, Wis., to make her home with her daughter. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Paul) Melchior, De Pere, Wis.; Pamela (Roger) Kelter, Tipler, Wis.; Paula (Terrence) Cressy, Bloomfield, Mich.; three sons, Ronald (Carol) Albers, Long Lake, Wis.; Roger Albers, Iron River; Richard Albers, Green Bay, Wis.; one brother, Ray Hermas, Green Bay, Wis.; two sisters, Lillian (Duane) Goland, Neenah, Wis.; Jeanne (Marvin) Monfils, Green Bay, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, John Hermas, and four sisters, Rita, Marge, Marie and Henrietta. At Ellen's request her body was donated to Science Care Anatomical in Aurora, Colo. There will be no visitation. Private family memorial services will be held.
