    • George A Biersteker, 68, a prominent business leader in the Oconto Falls area, died unexpectedly Sunday. Mr Biersteker was born May 11, 1899, in Brown County.* The son of Canililius [Cornelius] and Mary Biersteker was educated in the DePere schools, and after graduation was engaged in the cheese and butter making business in several northeastern Wisconsin communities.

      On Oct 7 1931, he married Jennie Peterson. They owned and operated the Round Roof Night Club in Kelly Lake until 1946, when they purchased the Fireside Night Club in Oconto Falls, which they operated until 1956.

      Along with his other businesses he was a well known landscape artist and was also a musician with his own bands and was currently playing with the Bing Moe Orchestra out of Oconto. He was a member of the Oconto County Musicisns Union and an active member in the Oconto Falls Sportsman Club.

      Mr Biersteker was preceded in death by his parents. Besides his wife, Jennie, he is survived by two brothers, Jack, Eau Claire; Joseph, Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Mrs Joseph (Lucille) Binon, Pulcifer; Mrs James (Mayme) Dorsey, Mrs Esther Burbey, both of Milwaukee; plus other relatives.

      At Soulek Funeral Home, Oconto Falls, Tuesday afternoon and evening. Funeral 2pm Wednesday, funeral home, the Rev William Chellow officiating. Burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Maple Valley.
