  • Notes
    • Cyril Stadler, 85, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Cy was born on April 11, 1932 to Joseph and Cecilia (Hilger) Stadler in Appleton. Cy was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. On May 30, 1959 he was united in marriage to Doris Hoffmann. Cy was a hard working high voltage electrician for Superior Electric, and he had the hands to prove it. He was a Brewers and Packers fan, enjoyed fishing and liked playing cards especially Sheepshead. Cy was fortunate to be able to go on an Old Glory Honor Flight with his grandson Tim. It was a highlight for both of them. He was a member of the St. Thomas More Church, American Legion Post 258, the IBEW Union and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Most important to him was his family, and spending time with his grandchildren. Those memories will always be cherished.

Cy is survived by his wife, Doris Stadler, one son Bill (Jeanine) Stadler, two grandchildren; Tim and Angela Stadler, two sisters; Donna Reyenebeau, and Marilyn (Jim) Ebben, 2 sisters-in-law; Mary Stadler and Rosie Stadler, a brother-in-law, Richard (Joanne) Hoffmann, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cy was preceded in death by his parents, his son Tim Stadler, siblings; Jerome Stadler, Gerald Stadler, Ronald (Bernice) Stadler, Joyce (Vince) VanderLogt, Eugene (Carol) Stadler, a brother-in-law Gerald Reyenebeau.

The funeral liturgy for Cy will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald St. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Old Glory Honor Flight. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nursing staff on the 8th floor at Theda Care Regional Medical Center, Appleton, Theda Care at Home and Father Falk.
