Freedom
Age 75, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 1, 2003 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born January 25, 1928 in Mackville, WI daughter of the late John and Cecelia (Hilger) Stadler. Joyce married Vincent Vander Logt and the couple resided in Freedom their entire married lives. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1974. Joyce worked as a cook at Fox Valley Golf Course for many years and also drove school bus. She was proud of her achievement in receiving the Freedom Community Service Award. Joyce was an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, where she volunteered for both church and school activities. She was also a longtime active member of the Freedom Auxiliary Post 7692. Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law John (Karen), Taiwan, Keith of Appleton, Kevin (special friend Patti), Kaukauna, Kan (Amy), Freedom, four daughters and two sons-in-law Barb (Roger) Haas, Freedom, Cathy Vander Logt, Freedom, Debbie (Ken) Kiesner, Wrightstown, Brenda Jungwirth, Steven Point, 12 grandchildren Peter Doyle, Amber (Greg) Johnson, Jena and Benjamin Vander Logt, Jennifer Haas (special friend Jason Vandenberg), Michelle (John) Ziebell, Chad (Wanda) Diemel, Nathan, Craig and Stephanie Kiesner, Christopher and Elizabeth Jungwirth, two great grandchildren Hailey Grace Jungwirth and Ian Huck, three brothers and four sisters-in-law Cyril (Doris) Stadler, Gene (Carol) Stadler, Mary Stadler, all of Appleton, Gerald (Rosie) Stadler, Hudson, two sisters and brothers-in-law Donna (Jerry) Reynebeau, Little Chute, Marilyn (Jim) Ebben, town of Vandenbroek, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister-in-law Jerome Stadler, Ronald (Bernice) Stadler. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church from 10 am Tuesday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.
Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a big heart for everyone and will be dearly missed.
