Van Cuyk, Carol Ann Carol Ann Van Cuyk, age 73, of Combined Locks, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 27, 2006. Carol was born on February 16, 1933, in Kaukauna to the late Fred and Lucille (Vanden Bloomer) Vander Bloomen. She married Lawrence Van Cuyk on May 11, 1957, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna; he preceded her in death on July 12, 1977. As a young woman, Carol was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills in Appleton and later worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She enjoyed travel, was a member of the Kimberly Homemakers Club for over twenty years, and was also a member of the William Verhagen Post #609 American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a faithful and active member of the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Kimberly. Survivors include her children: Michael (Karen) Van Cuyk of Freedom; Cheryl Van Cuyk of Combined Locks; and Dawn (Randy) Forster of Appleton; a grandson, Adam Forster of Appleton; her brother, Fred (Jean) Vander Bloomen of Kaukauna; her sisters: Alma (Tony) Gazzana of Milwaukee; Lucille Hopfensperger of Eugene, Oregon; Jane (Emil) St. John of Kaukauna; and Joan (Joe) Lewandowski of Kimberly. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Gert Vande Hey of Wrightstown; Lucina (Ernie) LuBay of McHenry, Ill.; Lois Van Cuyk of Combined Locks, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Ted, brothers: Richard and Floyd Vander Bloomen, Jerry (Marie) Vander Bloomen, and a sister Alice (Bob) Nack; brothers-in-law: Ed (Bernice) Van Cuyk, Don Van Cuyk, and Ervin Vande Hey; sisters-in-law Ann (Bob Biese, Verna (Carl) Oman, and Marion (Norb) Vande Voort. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at FOX VALLEY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, 1200 West Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Rev. Brian Pingel officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Combined Locks. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Cherry Meadows and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their loving care. Special thanks also to Darleen Behrendt for her special care and concern for Carol. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
