My grandma Margaret was born May 2, 1925 she died July 17, 1974. She and grandpa lived in Menasha when they were first married, then moved to Little Chute in the1950's. They lived on Grand Avenue until 1964 when they were asked to move so that the United States Post Office could put up a building on that land.
From my Aunt Donna I learned that grandma loved being a mother and homemaker. She loved all of her 10 children very much, and also loved to be in the kitchen cooking or baking. She would decorate the home for the various holidays, often with hand-crafted items. On birthdays, she would make a special cake for the birthday person, and Grandpa Joe's favorite was German Chocolate.
My grandma was kind to everyone she met. Unfortunately, she died of a massive heart attack when most of her kids were still living at home, and ranged from age 23 years old on down to 8years old.
