    • Dorothy M. Vogel passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Maple Ridge Health Center in Green Bay.

      Dorothy was born on October 9, 1927 in the village of Kellnersville, WI to Joseph and Frances (Jirikovec) Lensmeyer and graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, WI. She was united in marriage with Arthur H. Vogel on May 17, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville.

      Dorothy lived her life with love for everyone she knew. She made sure everyone was included in whatever activity was taking place. She has been a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, volunteer, and friend. She loved her Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.

      Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Arthur, her children: Cindy (Cal) Johnson , Bruce (Jeanne) Vogel, Brian Vogel, and Roz (Dan) Konop, grandchildren : Tim Boex, Paul (Mindy) Vogel, Nicole Vogel, Sara Vogel, Amanda Vogel and Krista Vogel, great-grandchildren: Austin Boex, Carter Jansen and Evelyn Dunn. Step-grandchildren also survive: Terre (Mark) Tengowski, Christopher (Megan) Johnson, Michael (Shantel) Konop and Amber (Jim) Knutson, and step-great-grandchildren: Elijah Tengowski, Maverick Johnson, Isaac Johnson and Isabella Konop.

      She is also survived by sister, Corinne Dose, brothers and sisters-in-laws: Ben Shimon, Clara Lensmeyer , Janet Lensmeyer, Delores and Will Burich, Jerome and Judy Vogel, Viola Vogel, Dorothy Vogel, Leona Vogel, and Leland Leighty,

      She is preceded in death by daughters: Susan Vogel and Donna Vogel, parents Joseph & Frances Lensmeyer, and father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Theodora Vogel.

      She is further preceded in death by her sisters and their spouses: Mildred (Joe) Hynek, Olive (Ray) Huinker, Esther (Larry) Skubal, Grace Shimon, Betty (Ervin) Lakatos, Florence (Melvin) Herrmann, brothers, Clarence Lensmeyer and Joseph Lensmeyer, and brothers-in-law, Larry Swoboda and Erwin Dose. She is also preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law: Irene (Lawrence) Fromholz, Angeline (Percy) Bump, Margaret (Norman) Manlick, Hilaria (Michael) Pankratz, Robert (Louise) Vogel, Florence Leighty, Joseph Vogel, Harold Vogel, and James Vogel.

      The family wishes to thank everyone at Green Bay Oncology, especially, Dr. David Groteluschen , Marcy Godlewski and Jennifer Stallsmith for 10 years of care. They also thank the staff at Maple Ridge Health and Heartland Hospice for recent care, especially Ann, Sue, Trisha and Abbie.

      Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, from 4 to 7 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday, November 26, at Nativity of Lord Catholic Church, 2770 South Oneida Street, from 9:30 until the Mass of Christian Burial which will take place at 11:00 pm with the Rev. John Harper officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
