Van Cuyk, Donald E.
Donald E. Van Cuyk, Combined Locks, age 70, died Monday April 19 at AMC. Don was born February 6,1934 to the late Theodore and Josephine (Lamers) Van Cuyk in Combined Locks. He married the former Lois Hall on June 24, 1955 in Iowa. Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. He worked as an electrician and was a member and past president of IBEW Local 577, a member of the American Legion Post 0436, Wrightstown and the Masonic Lodge #349, Appleton. Don enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family at their cottage.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; five daughters: Sheila Van Cuyk and her daughter Emily, Deb (Dan) Perronne and their children Jon and Sara, Lynn (Dan) Van Zeeland and their children Ryan and Brandon, Laura (Dan) Slavik and their children Jennie and Amy, Susan (Denny) Wright and their children Marcia, Caylei, Nathan, Krissy and her daughter, Andreya. He is further survived by his two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lou (Ernie) LaBay, Gert Vandehey and a sister-in-law Carol Van Cuyk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Theodore Van Cuyk, his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Eva Hall, his three sisters and brothers-in-law; Verna (Carl) Hoffman, Marion (Norb) VandeVoort, and Ann (Bob) Biese, his two brothers Ed and Larry Van Cuyk, his brother-in-law Erv Vandehey.
Dons memorial service will be 6 p.m. on Thursday April 22 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 2300 Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna. Friends will be received on Thursday at Church from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 766-2099.
