      Sanderfoot, Donald G.

      Donald Sanderfoot, 81, Green Bay, formerly of Little Chute, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009, at Parkview Manor, Green Bay. He was born June 24, 1928, in Little Chute, son of John and Marie (Sanders) Sanderfoot. Donald married Grace A. Behling June 24, 1950, celebrating 59 years of marriage together. Mr. Sanderfoot was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Donald was also a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute. For 46 years he was employed at Midtec Paper until his retirement. As a youth, Donald was an amazing pitcher and baseball player, playing baseball as part of the AA league. He continued his love for baseball through the years being a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Through his adult life he was a top bowler in the area. During his summers Donald always enjoyed spending time up north with his family and fishing on Post Lake in Elcho. In the fall he and Grace loved traveling to Colorado to visit their daughter Laurie and her husband Tom. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

      Donald is survived by his wife, Grace; two daughters: Julie (Brian) Lani, Green Bay; Laurie (Tom) Miller, Littleton, Colorado; five grandchildren: Christopher Lani; Jacqueline Lani; Dan Lux; Lisa Lux and Beth Lux; a brother, Jim (Barb) Sanderfoot, Kaukauna; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Spierings, Appleton; Eleanor Behling, Little Chute; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Sanderfoot; two brothers-in-law: Edward Behling and John Spierings; a godson, John Sanderfoot.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. James Hablewitz officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of the mass. Full military honors will be performed by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute following the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

      Donald's family wishes to thank all nursing staff in the dementia wing at Parkview Manor, Green Bay for the wonderful care and compassion they showed toward Don. Thank You.
