Martin J. Van Dehy

Age 74, died suddenly, Sunday, November 5, 1995 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a brief illness. Martin was born June 2, 1921 in Kimberly, the son of the late Martin and Esther [Lange] Van Dehy Sr. He lived most of life in Kimberly. He starting working at Kimberly-Clark Corporation at the age of 17 and retired from Midtec Paper Corp. after 43 years of service, with a brief intermission serving as medic during World War II. Martin was and avid golfer and also greatly enjoyed fishing and card playing. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy and the Quarter Century Club of Kimberly Clark.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marie [Murphy] Van Dehy; four sons and three daughters in-law, Michael Van Dehy, Menasha; Patrick and Cindy Van Dehy, Menasha; James and Mary Van Dehy, Darboy; Joseph and Sue Van Dehy, Appleton; a daughter, Carol Van Dehy, Appleton and her fiance Steve Plamann; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters in-law, Julius 'Bud' and Esther Van Dehy, Kimberly; Kenneth and Betty Van Dehy, Kimberly; Vernon and Gladys Van Dehy, Kaukauna; Three sisters and a brother in-law, Marion Van Handel, Appleton; Gerri Zieler, Little Chute; Jean Hildebrand, Menasha; Jerome [Mary] Seaver, Kimberly; also survived by his first wife's brothers and sisters in-law, Gerry Fahrenkrug, Appleton; Alice [George] Subert, Kimberly; Josephine Seefeld, Riplinger; Martin [Joan] Conrad, Kimnberly; Chris [Jane] Vanden Heuvel, Darboy.
Martin was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet [Conrad] Van Dehy; two sisters, Margaret Seaver and Josephine [Clarence] Kamps; a sister in-law, Gertrude [Richard] Grieshaber; two brothers in-law, Robert Van Handel; and Vilin Zierler.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 1995 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy with Father Donald Fuller officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at Holy Angels Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of Mass. A memorial fund has been established for the American Arthritis Association.
