Minnie Weyenberg ( Hooyman ) 515 W. 1st. Kimberly
Formerly of Appleton, age 87, died unexpectedly 11 A.M. Thursday, November 24, 1988, At St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born July 13, 1901, in Freedom, daughter of the late John J.A. and Anna ( Verhoeven ) Hooyman. Minnie was united in marriage to Joseph P. Weyenberg April 4, 1923, sharing 39 years together, before his death in 1962. She has serviced as house keeper Rev. Norbert Vanderloo for many years. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly.
Survivors include four daughters and son in-laws; Marion (Raymond) Schumacher, Appleton; Lucille (Donald) Jacobs, Neenah; Florus
(Maurice) Schumacher; and Marlene (Melvin) Sutheimer, all of Appleton; Four sisters; Frances Krieg, Neenah; Ida Jahnke, Appleton; Margaret ( Clem) Vandenberg, Freedom; Sr. Marianne SSND, Milw.; A sister in-law; Gladys Hooyman, Freedom; 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Minnie was preceded in death by three infant sons, and infant granddaughter, four brothers; Al, Clarence, Art and Stanley Hooyman; three sisters; Regina Friebal, Bernice Rickert, and Hazel Powell.
The Mass of Resurrection will be 10:30AM Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church Kimberly, with the Rev. Norbert VandeLoo, Rev. Leander Nickel, MSGR Karl Steiner, Rev. Wilbert Staudenmeier cocelebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel 606 N. Oneida St., Appleton from 4 until 9 PM Friday 'today' and until 10 AM Saturday at which time the cortege will leave for the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday. A memorial fund has been established.
