Debra K. Strenn [Rietz] Green Bay
Age 48, died Sunday, January 5, 2003 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 22, 1954 to Elaine Mary [Van Eperen] Rietz and the late Donald Charles Rietz. On June 17, 1977, Debra married Blaise Strenn at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenleaf. She enjoyed writing and memorizing special writings by others, flower gardening, biking, running, golfing, downhill skiing, and especially out of state camping with Quinn. Debra attended Interfaith Fellowship where she enjoyed being involved in Bible Studies and barious childrens ministries. Debra was an Administrative Assistant at Fort Horward/Georgia Pacific where she was employed for 28 years.
She is survived by her son, Quinn and special friend, Tammy Fleischman; one brother and sister in-law, Patrick [Amy Wall] Rietz; two sisters and brothers in-law, Karen [Roger] Nienhaus, and Sharon [William] Verbeten; nieces and nephews, Michael and Rhonda Nienhaus, Daniel Nienhaus, Jay Rietz, Shane Rietz, Matthew and Michelle Verbeten, Keith and Tabatha Verbeten, Christing Verbeten, Don Verbeten and fiance, Alicia Rudder, Billy Verbeten, Stephanie Verbeten, and Sean Rietz, grand nephews, Cole and Kaden, and four grand nieces, Kendra, Kelsie, Hayley and Cierra Rose, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Debra was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rose [Vanden Heuvel] and Bernard Van Eperen; her paternal grandparents, Minnie [Dahlman] and George Rietz, her dad, Donald C. Rietz on December 4, 1978, and also her godfather, Uncle Gerald Van Eperen on February 16, 2001.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, January 7,2003 from 4-8 p.m. at Interfaith Fellowship from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Funeral service will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. at the church, with pastors David Kelley and Jerry Bruette officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Wrightstown.
