      Van Gompel, Joyce T. Joyce T. Van Gompel, of Kaukauna, formerly of Little Chute. Joyce T. Van Gompel, wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma died Monday November 19, 2007, at Cherry Meadows Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Appleton on October 7, 1927, to the late John and Anna (De Bruin) Jansen. Joyce married Elmer Van Gompel on November 18, 1950, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death October 3, 2005. Joyce was a lifelong member of St. John's and a member of the St. Elizabeth Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, dancing and time spent with her card club. Joyce also collected salt and pepper shakers.

      Joyce is survived by her children: Doris (Bob) Vanden Boogard, Little Chute; Lois (Mark) Kiel, Kaukauna; Ken (Kathy) Van Gompel, Little Chute; and Ann (Bill) Kerkhof, Kimberly; grandchildren: Linda (Merlin) Vanden Bloomer, Sharon (Brodi) Lund, Kristy Vanden Boogard (special friend Brian), Stephanie (Mike) Kobussen, Nicole Kiel (special friend Matt), Matthew Kiel (special friend Samantha), Nick, Jenny and Kelly Van Gompel, Bill Jr. (Rachel) and Jamie Kerkhof (fiancee Pete); great grandchildren: Skyler and Trevor Vanden Bloomer, Conner and Kylie Lund and Hailey Kobussen; brothers and sister: John (Elaine) and Bill (Doris) Jansen and Betty (Ken) Geiger; and sisters and brother-in-law: Darlene Jansen, Maggie (Irv) Guernsey, Toots Jansen, Verona Gloudemans, Maureanus Vanden Wyngaard, Dolores and Ruth Van Gompel.

      In addition to her husband, Elmer, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Wayne; her great granddaughter, Katelyn Reisenweber; sister and brothers: Micki (Don) Farrell, Tom, Joe, Sonny and Roger Jansen; and infant sisters, Grace and Mildred.

      Visitation will be held Friday November 23, 2007, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St., Little Chute) beginning at 1:30 p.m. until the time of Mass at 5 p.m. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.

      Joyce's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of St. Paul Manor, Appleton Medical Center and Cherry Meadows for their kindness and care.
