    • Joseph “Joe” Winius, 96, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

      Joe was born on September 12, 1922 to Henry and Bertha (Driessen) Winius in Little Chute. He graduated from St. John High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during WWII. On June 8, 1946 he was united in marriage to Anne Smith and she preceded him in death on February 6, 1996. He worked at the Kimberly Paper Mill over 30 years until his retirement in 1983. Joe married Terry Seroogy on December 12, 2012. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to stay busy. He was active in the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 and the Kaukauna VFW Post 3319. He was a member of St. Paul Combined Locks. Joe was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and made many special memories with his family and they will always be treasured.

      Joe is survived by his wife Terry, his children; Janet (Terry) Mielke, Susan (Michael) Keyzers, JoAnne (Robert) Schilcher, Nancy (David) Nowak, and Kenneth (Ann) Winius, 14 grandchildren; Amy (Steve) Henselin, Heather Mielke, Laura Mielke, Thomas Keyzers, Kelly Keyzers, Katie (Chris) Iverson, Sara Keyzers, Andrew Schilcher, Nathan Schilcher, Daniel (Sarah) Schilcher, Joseph Schilcher, Gregory (fiancé Nicole) Nowak, Michelle Nowak, and Benjamin Nowak, 9 great grandchildren; Jacob, Jace, Emma, Ella, Colin, Isaac, Erik, Lydia and DJ, siblings; Les Winius, Alice “Honey” Hermus, and Hank (Claire) Winius Jr., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
      Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, a son Jeffrey and 9 siblings.

      The funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 Wallace St. Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at church.
