VanderVelden 3800 Broadway Dr. Appleton God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so, He put his arms around her and whispered come with me. With tearful eves we watched her suffef and although we loved her dearly we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Age 66, died Thursday January 28, after a lingering illness. We loved Loretta as a wife and mother. She was born July 3, 1921 in Little Chute. She was a resident of Appleton most of her life until moving to Pickerel in 1980 and returning to Appleton in 1986. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital until 1979. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 258 Little Chute and a member of the Pickerel Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Loretta's 'love of life' was her husband, O'Neil; her children who loved her dearly are; Daniel Rochon, Taos, New Mexico; Steven and Jennifer Rochon, Kimberly; Rochelle Klapps, Combined Locks; Susan Rochon, St. Paul, Minnesota; Jillene and Robert McLaughlin, Ripon; Gala and Paul Van Nuland, Little Chute; Bonnie and Patrick Keyes, Appleton; Robin Buelow, Appleton. Loretta was a close and dear sister to; Harold and Doris VanderVeldon; Robert and Virginia VanderVeledn; Evelyn Lex; and Mercedes and Ray Chartier, all of Appleton; Mable and Henry Reese, Kimberly; Ruth and Harry, Rhodes, De Pere; She was also proud of her 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Groege VanderVelden. Loretta will also be remembered by her many close friends. We loved her for her gentle, compassionate nature. It is never easy to say good bye to one you love. Please join us in a loving memorial service 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church,2720 N. Kesting Ct., Appleton with Rev. Dan Spina and Rev. Steven Scherer officiating. Relatives and friends may join us at the church at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being estaglished. We love her and we'll miss her. The Verkuilen Funeral Home in Little Chute is in charge of the arrangements.
