      Age 76, died at 10:49 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 1983. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Oshkosh. Survivors include his wife, Anna; two step-sons and their wives: Joseph and Lois Van Bommel, Menasha; John and Dorothy Van Bommel, Appleton; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Marion Stocker. Complete funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton with Rev. Ronald C. Belitz officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. from 4 until 9 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church. A prayer and scripture service will be at 8 p.m. on Monday. A memorial fund is being established.
