- Ambrosius Rites Planned Monday
De Pere (PG) - Funeral services for Joseph T. Ambrosius, 69, lifelong resident of the Town of Lawrence, will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Boniface Church. The Rev. Joseph Jansen will officiate, and burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Ambrosius, who retired from farming three years ago, died Friday after a brief illness. Born Oct. 14, 1888, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ambrosius, pioneer settlers in Lawrence.
Surviving are three sons, Ervin, Donald and Gerald, West De Pere; six daughters, Mrs. Joseph Willems, Mrs. Eugene Manders, Mrs. Elmer Green, Mrs. Robert Calaway, and Mrs. Arthur Vande Hei, all of West De Pere and Mrs. Servanius Vanden Berg, Kaukauna, and 52 grandchildren. There are also five brothers, Albert, John and William, West De Pere; Louis, Wrightstown, and Adolph, Laona, and three sisters, Mrs. John Minten, West De Pere; Mrs. Peter Siebers, Kimberly, and Mrs. Carl Van Ess, Green Bay.
Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home after 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this evening, at the same hour Sunday night by the St. Boniface Holy Name Society.
