      Vanden Elzen, Janet Janet Vanden Elzen, age 88, of De Pere died Saturday March 25, 2006. Janet was born March 31, 1917, in Goodman, WI, to the late Benjamin and Mary (Smith) Fite. Janet married Norbert Vanden Elzen on June 3, 1937, at St. Francis Catholic Church in De Pere; he preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1995. Norbert and Janet volunteered at Parkview Nursing Home for more than 25 years. She was a 4-H leader for over 55 years and was the oldest leader in Brown Co. Janet was one of the founders of the East River Home Makers Club, and enjoyed being a part of the Creative Writing Group for many years at the Senior Center. In her later years Janet earned her G.E.D. which she was very proud of. Survivors include her children; Ruth and Leonard "Buddy" Goeben of Green Bay, Raymond and Shirley of De Pere, Allen and Marlene of Green Bay, Tom and Joan of Green Bay, grandchildren; Dan and Michelle Goeben, Deborah and Mark Niemuth, Denise and Dale Barnsdorf, Janet and Bernard Kaiver, Lisa and Tim Ferry, Tina Vanden Elzen, Chris and Lisa Vanden Elzen, Rene and Steve Munzel, Peter and Victoria Vanden Elzen, Rena and Joseph Esposito, Kym Vanden Elzen, Kirt and Jenny Vanden Elzen, Kelli and Clarence Crane, Scott Vanden Elzen and his wife Michelle Phillips, Sheri and Richard Morrell, 26 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters; Clarence Baumgart, Gladys and James Van Den Langenberg, Evelyn Warpinski, Ralph and Maryann Baumgart, Phillip and Pat Baumgart, 2 brothers-in-law Charlie Collier and Gale Fenlon. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Jim Fite, sisters Lillian Collier, Mildred Fenlon and a brother-in-law Francis Warpinski. Family and friends may call at the Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere on Wed. from 5-7 p.m. Wake service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church 220 S. Michigan from 9-10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Fr. V. Anthony Dolski officiating.Entombment in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
