    • Angela Geurts, Kaukauna, age 94, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Paul Home. She was born in the Town of Vanden Broek on January 7, 1923 to the late Martin and Gertrude (De Bruin) Hendricks. Angela married Sylvester Geurts at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on November 23, 1946. Together, they enjoyed many years square dancing. Angela was a great baker and will be remembered for her pies. She was a tireless worker and spent many hours helping out wherever she was asked.

      Angela is survived by her husband of 70 years, Sylvester; children: Rita Mayer of Green Bay; Linda (William) Schell of Appleton; Lyle (Pam Gardiner) of Missoula, MT; Glen (Connie) of Kaukauna; Keith (Carla) of Engelwood, FL; Steve (special friend Tammy) of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Scott of Kaukauna; grandchildren: James (Kristen) Mayer, Lisa (Tony) Van Lannen, Matt (Dani) Mayer, John (Linda) Schell, Brian (Erin) Schell, Jonathan (Jennifer) Geurts, Matthew (Heather) Geurts, Andrew (Katie) Geurts, Jenniffer (Kevin) Bruce, Angela Raff, Lori (Justin) Miller and Mark (Anne Praisewater) Geurts; great grandchildren: John, Jacob and Jordon Mayer, Sidney, Jackson and Celia Van Lannen, Taylor, Amber, Ashton and Logan Mayer, Derek, Alethia, Morgan and Riley Schell, Charlee, Brynlee, Josie, Hannah, Colin and Zoey Geurts, Dillon Bruce, Conlan and Addison Raff, Micah, Kaleb, Miriam, Eden and Jude Miller, Elias, Miles and Hadley Geurts; brother: Henry (Jean) Hendricks; twin sister: Theresa Schmidt; and sisters-in-law: Joyce Nackers, Jane (Don) Coffee, Joan and Ione Geurts. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, William and Marie Geurts; son-in-law, Robert Mayer; great grandson, Tommy Mayer; brothers: Arthur (Martha), Ed (Gladys) and Leo (Mary Jane) Hendricks; sisters: Minnie (Pete) Hietpas, Inez (Ed) Ebben and Loretta (Les) Diedrich; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Agnes Hendricks, Joseph Schmidt, Howard Nackers, William "Lefty" Geurts, Joan (Harvey) Bowers and Thomas Geurts.

      Visitation will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.
