Vandenberg, Robert C. Robert C. Vandenberg, age 78, passed away early Saturday morning, March 11, 2006; at his home in the Town of Kaukauna where he grew up on a farm. He was born to Minnie (Diedrich) and John C. in 1927, and married Marie Langenberg in 1964 at St. Patrick's Church, Menasha. He is survived by his wife; sons, Kurt (Ellen) Vandenberg and Margot, New York; Tom Vandenberg, Neenah; daughter Greta (Bill) DuVernay, Christopher and Julianna, Appleton. He is also survived by brother Servanius Vandenberg and sister Marcella VanDeWalle and sisters-in-law Joan Eggers and Irene Langenberg. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law Jane Vandenberg; brothers-in-law Norb VanDeWalle, Joe Langenberg, John Langenberg and Richard Eggers. A memorial mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, N4088 Cty Rd E, Kaukauna; with Father John Schuetze presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Robert loved his grandchildren and enjoyed them as well as other hobbies. He will always be remembered for his opinions, interests and creativeness, and loved for his strengths and weaknesses. We will forever miss his strong character, wisdom and insight.
