      Clarence Bachmann, 1516 N. Bennett St., Appleton, age 80, died unexpectedly at 3 a.m. Sunday. He was born January 26, 1898 in Chicago. He had been employed by the Appleton Police Department prior to his retirement.
      Survivors include his wife, Anna Marie Vosters Bachmann; two daughters; Mrs. Jay (Grace) Wells, Appleton; and Mrs. Kenneth (Anna Marie) Gresen, Three Lakes; a son, Bob, Appleton; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
      The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Klingeisen officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
