      May 6, 1910
Raymond Egan came near losing his life Monday afternoon at the Thilmany Pulp and Paper Mill. He was showing his companions how to stand on his hands on a stair or basement rail with his feet in the air, when both hands slipped from the rail and he fell twelve feet head first striking his head with great force on a solid stone wall and from there turned a somersault into the basement six feet further down. His scalp and forehead were badly gashed.
