Lambert Feldkamp, of the town of Buchanan, another one of Wisconsin's ?? pioneer settlers who came to the state in as early day, departed this life Thursday, March 14, 1911 on the farm where he has resided since 1904, from infirmities incident to old age.

The deceased was born in Galderland, Holland, July 25, 1833, and was therefore in his eighty-eighth year. He came to America at the age of 22 years, with his father, mother and a step-sister, and the same year-1846, settled on a piece of land in Holland, Sheboygan county. It took them seven weeks to cross the ocean at that time. The Feldkamp family were among the first white settlers in Sheboygan county. September 27, 1854, he was united in marriage to Miss Theresa Martins and with his new help-mate continued to reside in Sheboygan county and carve out a home from the wilderness which then existed throughout this section of the state. In 1894 they removed to a farm in the town of Buchanan, where he departed this life.

Decendent is survived by his venerable widow, four sons and one daughter, as follows: Messrs. William, John and George of Buchanan; Matthew and Mrs. Schmitz, who reside near Kaukauna; he is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.

The funeral was held from St. Paul's church, Wrightstown, the requiem high mass being said by Rev. Fathers Sprangers and Van de Castle. Interment was made at the Wrightstown cemetery.

Among those present at the last sad rites were his cousin Joseph Hemsink, wife and daughter Mary and three sons, Joseph, Bernard and Frank of Sheboygan.
