Van Boxtel, Rosella "Rose" E.
Rosella "Rose" E. Van Boxtel, 86, from Oneida, passed away peacefully Friday morning, July 31, 2009, at her home surrounded by family. She was born July 15, 1923, in Isaar, daughter of the late William and Cecilie (Lex) Noe. On Nov. 13, 1941, she was united in marriage to William Van Boxtel Sr. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2001.
She was a very caring woman who loved her family dearly. She made every holiday gathering a special time for her family. She was a generous hostess. No one ever left her home hungry. She enjoyed gardening, reading the morning paper, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She liked spending time with friends and neighbors at the Oneida Senior Center. She was a woman of strong faith. Rose was an active member of St. Joseph's Church in Oneida where she had belonged to the Christian Mother's Society.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Carol) Van Boxtel, Waukesha; William Van Boxtel, Jr., Oneida; Judy (Larry) Molina, Green Bay; Nancy (James) Kottke, Iron River, Mich.; Thomas Van Boxtel, Oneida; Sharon (James) Feldkamp, Oneida; Mark Van Boxtel, Green Bay; Carol Ambrosius (Dan), Seymour; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Edith Jarosinski, Pulaski; Veronica Van Boxtel, Green Bay; a brother-in-law, John (Dorothy) Van Boxtel, Oneida; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James: two grandsons, Richard and Butch; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Van Boxtel; two brothers, Leo and Elmer Noe; five sisters, Catherine, Betty, Cora, Erma, and Rose's twin sister, Sr. Cecelia.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Father Dave Duffeck and Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating.
