    • Lilas A. (Peterson) Roehrborn, age 90, of Wrightstown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016. She was born August 12, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Theresa (Micke) Peterson. Lilas married Milford A. Roehrborn on August 11, 1945. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. Her husband Milford preceded her in death on September 10, 2010. They resided in the same house in Wrightstown for over 67 years. Lilas and Milford raised 11 children there. Lilas was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Mother was very creative. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, sewing, painting, crocheting, baking, cooking, gambling, watching game shows on television, feeding and watching the birds and wildlife from her window in the kitchen. Lilas loved driving her golf cart all over her property and to the woods and back. She enjoyed sharing stories of her life and reminiscing. She loved her two dogs, Winston and Annie, and her cat, Tripper Louise.

      During her lifetime while raising her 11 children, she cleaned the Kaukauna Clinic and Briggs School. She also worked with her husband at their meat market and the meat shop at home. She also worked at Weber's Supermarket, Kaukauna Community Hospital as a cook and the American Legion in Wrightstown.

      Lilas will be sadly missed by her children: Kathleen (Ken) Van De Hey of Greenleaf, Deborah Laux of Sauk City, Linda (Richard) Schroeder of Combined Locks, Milford Jr. (Susan) Roehrborn of Seymour, Phil A. (Ronald Suhr) Roehrborn of Spring Green, Charles Sr. (Linda) Roehrborn of Kaukauna, Carolyn Romenesko (Tom Vock) of Wrightstown, Ronald (Jean) Roehrborn of Kaukauna, Richard (Michael Mayle) Roehrborn of Kaukauna; son-in-law, Mark Vande Hey of Kaukauna; daughter-in-law, Pam Kaster of Denmark; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister Ida (Ray) Vanden Langenberg of Green Bay, sisters-in-law Marie Peterson of Kaukauna and Dorothy Peterson of Black Creek. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

      Lilas is preceded in death by her husband, Milford A. Roehrborn; her parents; her step-mother, Mille Peterson; her son, Jeffery Roehrborn, daughter, Suzanne Vande Hey, grandchild, Stacy Lynn Vande Hey, and son-in-law, Richard Liebergen; brothers Robert and Charles Peterson; sisters and brothers-in-law Carol (Joe) Van Laarhoven, Florence (Jake) Lamers, Patricia (Mark) VandeYacht and Ethel (Orville) Krieck.

      A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 510 Sullivan Avenue, Kaukauna. Visitation will be received at the church on that day from 11:00 p.m. until the time of service. Together Milford and Lilas will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Kaukauna at a later date.       Lilas' family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at St. Paul Elder Care Home and to Hospice, as well as Dr. Graunke, Donna and Connie. The care Lilas received was truly amazing, she was treated with such love, respect and dignity that she referred to everyone as her angels. We cannot say enough about the care she received. Thank you.
