      Mrs. Norbert Demerath [Rose Hammen] 530 S. Van Buren St. Little Chute

      Age 52, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday after a lingering illness. She was born July 26, 1925 in Little Chute. She had been a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, The St. Ellizabeth Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

      Survivors include her husband, Norbert; two sons, Mrs. Joseph [Sandy] Stadler, Manawa; and Julie, at home; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel Hammen; a sister, Evelyn and a brother, Joseph.

      The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Blaha officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. There will be a St. Elizabeth Society Rosay at 6:30 Monday evening, and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for cancer research.
