      Van Grinsven, Martin W. "Van"


      Martin W. "Van" Van Grinsven, 82, of Naples, FL, originally from Kimberly, died May 2, 2009. He had been a Naples resident since 1988. After serving in the U S Army, Van attended St. Norbert's College and graduated from Oklahoma State University. He worked as a quality control engineer at General Electric Co. for 37 years, and was active in the Boy Scouts. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church where he was active in the men's club and an usher.

      Van will be missed by his loving wife, Rita; children: Mark (Nancy) Van Grinsven of Chicago, IL, Mary (Edward) Foley of Rutherford, NJ, Paul (Doreen) Van Grinsven of Saratoga Springs, NY, and John (Bonnie) Van Grinsven of West Chester, PA; brothers: Joseph of Nashville, TN, Bill of Kimberly; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

      A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7th, 1 p.m., St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road. Visiting hours will be held from 11-12:30 just prior to the mass at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East.
