    • Patricia J. (Schmechel) McCabe, 78, Townsend, Wis., (formerly of Green Bay) passed away unexpectedly at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. She was born April 25, 1932, in Seymour Wis., to Evelyn (Hallada) and Edwin Schmechel. On July 7, 1951, she married Vincent M. McCabe at St. Joseph Chapel, De Pere. Pat worked at Paper Converting Machine Company for over 20 years until retirement.

      Survivors include her husband, Vincent; four children, Michele McCabe, Lisa (McCabe) Demers, Kim (McCabe) Lobdell (spouse, Alan Lobdell), and Peter McCabe (spouse Ronette); 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many friends. Family and friends were very important to Pat and she treasured every family and friends gathering. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Christine.
      Pat was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an active member of the Christian Women's club at St. Mary's of the Lakes — Lakewood, a reading mentor at White Lakes School, and active with the Townsend Festival Association.
      Weber-Hill Funeral Home, 1768 Oconto Ave., Wabeno, Wis., is assisting with the funeral arrangements. The visitation and funeral service will be held at St. Mary's of the Lake in Lakewood, Wis., on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. with the funeral service at 11.
