      Age 88, died at 7 p.m. Thursday evening. He was born October 19, 1894, in Freedom. He had been employed by the Thilmany Pulp and Paper prior to his retirement in 1960. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law: Marge and Joseph Rosenberg, Milwaukee; Eileen and Ralph Weins, California; Mae and Jack Schommer, Freedom; Ursula and Jerald Ziniers, Minnesota; three sons and daughters-in-law; Ivo and Mary Geurts, Appleton; John and rita Geurts, CAlifornia; Joe and Shirley Geurts, Freedom; a brother, Joe Geurts, Freedom; and a sister, Mrs. Martin (Lena) Vandenberg, Freedom; 26 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, November 19, 1981. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday from St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with the Rev. Leander Nickel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Fuenral Home, from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday.
