      Baeten (Miller), Catherine M. Catherine M. (Miller) Baeten, of Kaukauna, age 75, died Thursday, September 6, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Cathy was born April 24, 1932, daughter of the late Kosmas and Caroline (Pritzl) Miller, on the home farm in the Town of Maple Grove one of fifteen children. She graduated from Brillion High school. Cathy married Clayton Baeten on October 17, 1954, at St. Mary's Church in Brillion. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage.

      Cathy was a member of Holy Cross Parish. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, card playing, reading, sewing, knitting, puzzles, and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

      She is survived by her husband Clayton; her three children: Chuck (Lori) Baeten, Downers Grove, IL; Candee (Timm) Biesterveld and Carrie (Maury) Hartzheim, all of Kaukauna; seven grandchildren: Ryan and Nicole Baeten, Seth, Caitie, and Claire Beisterveld, Austin and Adam Hartzheim; a brother, Kosmas (Helen) Miller, Janesville; sisters: Sr. Cosmas Miller of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc; Marion Hanagan, Appleton; Gertrude Sadowski, Manitowoc; sister-in-law, Agnes Miller, Whitelaw; Doris Miller, Brillion; and special family friends: Mary Kleusken, DePere; Margaret and Florence Brewster, Kaukauna; many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by Clayton's family: brothers: Marvin (Helen) Baeten, Appleton; John (Maureen) Baeten, Red Granite; Jim (Carol) Baeten, Wrightstown; a sister, Rita (Jack) Martzahl, Wrightstown; brother-in-law, Robert Merkel, TN; and sister-in-law, Shirley Baeten, Kaukauna.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, John and Marie (VanderHeiden) Baeten; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence (Anna) Miller, Norbert (Gertrude) Miller, Vincent Miller, Philip (LaVerne) Miller and Carl Miller; her sisters: Caroline (Ray) Lang, Josephine (Bill) Schuh, Ottilia (Edward) Schuh, Marcella (Alex) Fischer; and her brothers-in-law: Simon Sadwoski, Robert Hannagan; and an infant sister. She was further preceded in death by her husband's family: Robert (Sally) Baeten, Ed Baeten, Leone Merkel, and Aggie (Lee) Ganzyk.

      The Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with a parish prayer service concluding the evening at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, and again on Monday directly at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Research. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
