- Ignatius T. Lenz

Age 57, died Snday at his home after a long illness. He was born February 7, 1926 in Appleton and had lived most of his life in Kaukauna. He was the owner of Lenz Communications and was manager of communications at Schmidt Oil Company. He graduated from DeForest Technical Institute and had been employed at WHBY from 1949 until 1953 and from 1954 until 1978 he was an engineer for WBAY-TV in Green Bay. He was a member of the Fox Valley Golf Club and was a lay minister and past Vice President of the Parish Council at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Schmidt Lenz; his mother, Mrs. Gregory Lenz, Little Chute; a daughter and son-in-law: Mary A. and James Sternweis, Menominee Falls; four sons: Gregory A., Mark G., Thomas I., all of Kaukauna; David J., Milwaukee; two sisters: Mrs. Lloyd (Pauline) VandeHey, Little Chute; Mrs. James (Julitta) Bergeron, Kimberly; a grandson, Thomas J Sternweis; his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Schmidt, Kaukauna. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Gary Dantinne officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday morning until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a prayer service Monday 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
