    • Mrs. Barbara Schmalz, 79, route 1, Menasha, died at her hom in the town of Harrison at 6:10 this morning after being in poor health for several years. She was born Sept. 23, 1872, in the town of Harrison and was a life resident of that area.
      Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Noe, route 1, Menasha, and Mrs. Walter Grode, Hortonville; five sons, Walter and Alex of route 1, Menasha. Arnold of Menasha, Ralph of Neenah and Reuben of route 4, Appleton; a brother , Joseph Ottman, Menasha; a sister, Mrs. John Huelsbeck of Appleton; 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
      Funeral services will be at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary's church in Menasha with the Rev. Joseph A. Becker in charge. The cortege will form at 8:30 Saturday morning at the Laemmrich Funeral home in Menasha and burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery there. Friends . . .
