- Jean A. Dorn, age 56, of Freedom, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 25, 2018. She was born on November 23, 1962, daughter of Leo and the late Cecilia (Van Roy) Dorn.
Jean loved the holidays, especially Christmas. She was a wonderful baker and loved her family tremendously. She was like a mom to her nieces and nephews.
Jean is survived by her father, Leo Dorn; siblings: Sandra Peterson, Norman Dorn and Connie Klesmit; brother-in-law, Gary Anderson; nieces and nephews: Christopher (Amy), Todd (Wanda), Jennifer (Keith), Michael (Renee), Tammy, Tracy (Russ), Luis, Nicole, Gina and Kimberly; many great nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Cecilia Dorn; siblings: Sharon Anderson, Michael Dorn and Bruce Dorn; a niece, Ashley Dorn; and a brother-in-law, Gary Peterson.
A memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
The Dorn family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 2nd Floor ICU at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton, for their compassionate care.
