- Diana E. Landon (nee Veit), 66 years of West Bend, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 surrounded by loved ones at the Kathy Hospice.
Diana was born on December 2, 1942 to Clarence Albert and Hilda Ann Veit (nee Gerrits) in Fort Benning Georgia.
She was raised in Chilton, WI and later at Brown Deer and graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee, class of 1961.
She went on to graduate with an associate degree from the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology.
After graduating she managed Tracers hair salon after being sought after by the owner to help open that location.
Diana married William H. Landon on May 13, 1967 at Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Brown Deer, WI. The couple raised a large family of six children in the West Bend area. The couple divorced in 1991.
Diana moved to Stephenson, MI for a time and then back to West Bend so she could be close to family.
She worked at the West Bend Country Club as a waitress for about 30 years, BJ and Company hair salon, REM of Wisconsin as a coordinator to help the developmental disabled, and Gemini Helping Hands assisting seniors.
She loved floral arranging and created several of her children's and grandson's wedding arrangements, gardening, crossword puzzles, countless hours putting together jigsaw puzzles, often with grandchildren, bowling, chatting with friends over a cup of coffee, lending a listening ear to those in need, and spending time with family.
Diana is survived by her mother, Hilda Veit; six children, Stephanie (Shawn) Boudry of West Bend, Lanae (Paul) Kovacevich of Allenton, Tim Landon, Julie (Dan) Fellenz, and Tom Landon, all of West Bend, and Carrie Landon of Sheboygan; her 13 grandchildren, Adam (Brittany) Boudry, Trista and Breanna Boudry, Joshua, Mikaela, Caleb and Carissa Kovacevich, Samantha and Kimberly Landon, Danny, Cassandra, and Promise Fellenz, Destany Erickson; and great-grandson Noah Boudry. She is further survived by her special friend Richard Murray, Aunt Evelyn Keller of Kimberly, WI, Aunt Bernice Leonhard of Sheboygan, WI, Uncle Donald (Edith) Gerrits from Fond Du lac, WI, Uncle Al Slater of Port Washington, WI; and friends Sandy Sell, Bill Puttkammer, and other relatives and friends.
Proceeded in death by her infant daughter Kimberly Landon, and father Clarence Veit, Mother-in-law Ella Landon Duchow.
