- Mrs. Gilbert (Lucille a Hemauer) Schoen, 74, 1825 West Lake Street, Stockbridge, died Friday October 24, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah, after having been ill for nine months.
She was born March 19 1912, in Stockbridge and was the daughter of John and Rose (Nadler) Hemauer. She had attended schools in Stockbridge.
She was married to Gilbert Schoen on May 16, 1938, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Stockbridge. The couple had lived in Stockbridge where they owned and operated the Harbor Bar for 30 years. She had been a resident of Stockbridge for all of her life.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Stockbridge, the St. Marys Christian Mothers, the church choir, the Daughters of Isabella. She had served as a church organist and was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters; Mrs. Robert (Jo Ann) Nadeau, New Berlin; Mrs. Michael (Mary) Karls, Stockbridge; and Nancy Schoen, Stevens Point; four sons, Robert, Wisconsin Rapids; Gilbert Jr., Kimberly; Thomas, Green Bay; and Steven, Chicago; nine grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. John (Mabel) Cooper, Grenville; Mrs. Robert (Rosemary) Parsons, Fond du Lac; and Mrs. Sylvester (Doris) Zahringer, Stockbridge; four brothers; Clarence Hemauer, Hilbert; Francis Hemauer, Mercer; John Hemauer, New Holstein; and Robert Hemauer, Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerome; a sister, and six brothers.
The funeral services were at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
