Notes - Neenah - Dorothy A. Amond, age 69, of Neenah, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 after a courageous battle with dementia. She was born on February 11, 1949 in Menasha, to the late Albert and Virginia Jahnke . Dorothy was a graduate of Menasha High School. She married Douglas Amond on April 28, 1973 and enjoyed 45 years of marriage together. Dorothy worked at Mihms Grill in Menasha and was employed at Burger King in Neenah for 20 years. She also took care of many children. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her girlfriends. She also liked canning, cooking and grilling, and was a very good worker. Dorothy was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Menasha. She is survived by her husband, Douglas, her children, Tammy Amond and Paul Amond; her sisters, Geraldine Webb, Diane Bentley, and Betty Radtke; her brothers, Raymond, Patrick and Mike Jahnke, and Robert (Kathy) Jahnke, and a half brother, John Jahnke, nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Donald and brothers, Alvin, Ronald and Jerry Jahnke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad St.,Menasha with Rev. Keith GeRue officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
