Paul Edward Lappen

Age 58, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died unexpectedly Monday, October 23, 1995 in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He was born April 19, 1937, in Kaukauna to the late Edward and Jeanette [Vander Zanden] Lappen. He was proud to serve in the Marine Corps as a rifle instructor. He married Beverly J. Crha May 20, 1961 at St. Mary Church in Antigo. Paul was a 29 year member of Local 458 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. He was employed b y August Winters and Sons for 29 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly J.; six children; Suzanne Paula [Carl] Mohl, Appleton; Jesse Joseph [Tammy] Lappen, Menasha; John Paul [Deborah[ Lappen, Oshkosh; Joan Hazel [Brian James] Diem, Appleton; Constance Suzanne [John] Piscitello, Appleton; 10 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; three sisters,
Anaciele [Lloyd] Muelemans, Black Creek; Jackie [Edward] Broeren, Kaukauna; Ruth [Jerry] Benotch, Kaukauna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clifford and Leo; and two sisters, Marion Luvigson and Roseland Lappen.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 1995 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton with Father William Kuhr officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton. There will be a 7 p.m. prayer service with Father Timon Costello. Friends may call at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
