      Edward Lappen
      1302 Main Ave. Kaukauna

      Age 66, passed away at 11 a.m. Saturday morning after a heart attack. He was born in the Town of Woodville May 30, 1896. Mr. Lappen was Pulp Mill foreman at Hilman Pulp & Paper Co. until 1963 when he retired. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Aloysius Church, Kaukauna, a member of Local 147 and the Century Club of Hilman.

      The survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lester [Marion] Ludvigsen, Neenan; Mrs. Jerome [Ruth] Be Notch and Mrs. Edward [Janet] Broeren, both of Kaukauna; and Mrs. [Annaceil] Meulemans, Wrightstown; three sons, Leo of Appleton; Cliff of Little Chute; and Paul from LaCrescent, Minnesota; four brothers, Peter of Manitowoc; James of Chicago; Anton, Kaukauna; and Mike, Shawano; four sisters, Mrs. Walter [Kate] Ebling, DePere; Mrs. Homer [Gert] Hudson, West Allis; Mrs. William [Theresa] Mundt, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Vern [Esther] Meyers of Milwaukee; and 18 grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, Fr. Sylvester Borusky of St. Aloysius Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday.
