- Nickole M. Nikki Knope, age 68 of Shawano, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 in Green Bay. Born on November 2, 1943 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Betty (Pettengill) Grignon. Nikki worked in the Human Resources Department for Menominee County. On July 13, 1991 she was united in marriage to Peter Knope in Shawano. Nikki loved any time spent with her family, whether it was during the holidays, sitting on the deck with her husband or moments with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed traveling and especially cherished the trip to Switzerland, the cruise to Italy and Greece and the yearly trips to Jamaica. Nikki also liked making jewelry, shopping, and watching any program on HGTV. She was a fighter, a wonderful wife, an amazing mom, and a loving grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Nikki is survived by: her husband, Peter; 5 children, Mike Vigue of Shawano, Paul (Laine) Vigue of Appleton, Chris (Aleesha) Vigue of Sobieski, Stuart Knope of Appleton, Kimberly (Steve) Zinda of Onalaska; 7 grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Niosha, Brady, Dane, Allie, Jake; a brother, Steve (Sandy) Grignon of Neenah; and a sister, Paula Grignon of Neenah.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday from 4-7pm and at the church on Tuesday after 10am until the time of the service.
