    • Alvin R. Bodoh, 65, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2013. Al was born on April 20, 1947 in Antigo to the late Marcus and Margaret (Hintz) Bodoh. He was a graduate of Shiocton High School and attended Fox Valley Technical School. On March 26, 1982 he married the former Barb Van Eperen at Zion Lutheran Church and they enjoyed almost 31 years of love together. He was employed with Neenah Paper for over 37 years. He retired from there in 2003 and after retirement, he worked part-time at Sabre Lanes until his death. Al enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He was an avid hunter and Musky Fisherman. He also enjoyed traveling and camping.

      He is survived by his wife Barb, children Brenda (significant other Tom Schmidt) Bodoh, Hortonville, Kathie (Paul) Harwood, New London, Andrea (Corey Banda) Bodoh, Appleton, Renee (Chuck) Sprangers, Kaukauna, Christopher (significant other Danielle Gehl) Bodoh, Appleton, grandchildren Nicole, Jeffrey, Aaron, Steven, Chas, Mack, Paige and Patience, "grand-pup" Roody Poo, great-grandchildren, Erika, Trevin, Jamyson and Kimberly, his sister Janet Johnson, Dale, his brother Marcus (Lana) Bodoh, Hortonville, Barb's sisters Judie (Ray) Blair, Appleton, Mary (Gordy) Gremore, Crystal Falls MI, his beloved dogs Abby and Marty as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends, too numerous to mention here.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Barb's mom Evie Van Eperen and brother Rick Van Eperen.

      Friends may call at Valley Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-8 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 912 N. Oneida Street, from 10-11:00 am. Funeral Service to follow at the church at 11:00 am with Rev. Lloyd Luedeman officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park.

      Al will be sadly missed. He made friends everywhere he went and always brought laughter, joy and happiness with him.
